CDL Truck Driver

This job description is subject but not limited to:

• Maintaining professional appearance and conduct, always exhibiting a respectful and courteous demeanor.
• Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading position as situation requires.
• Must have the ability to operate a curtain side mechanism for inspecting loads and ensuring that cargo is secure.
• Maintain log of hours through electronic device as required by DOT.
• Adhere to Cardinal driver program policies.
• Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
• Maintain clean driving record and be able to pass DOT physical for medical card.
• Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures, always remaining courteous to members of law enforcement. 
• Must submit to annual driving review and promptly report any driving violations, both on and off duty.
• Present BOL's and receipts for goods delivered or loaded.
• Verify the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
• Maintain courteous and professional relationships with customers, noting their concerns and reporting promptly to the management team.
• Stop at filling stations and refuel vehicle as required.
• Maintain interior of vehicle in good condition following housekeeping guidelines.
