Job Description
About the Role
As our Manager of Sales Development, you'll lead the team responsible for generating new business pipeline. You'll recruit, coach, and inspire a group of high-performing Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), helping them build foundational sales skills while driving top-of-funnel impact. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you'll play a key role in shaping the SDR program and ensuring Monograph hits its ambitious growth goals.
This is an in-office role based in Tempe, Arizona.
What You'll Do
- Hire, train, and develop a high-performing SDR team
- Lead with empathy and ambition-motivating your team to exceed goals
- Coach SDRs on outbound strategy, messaging, and objection handling
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Operations to optimize lead flow and pipeline conversion
- Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for process and productivity improvements
- Set clear expectations, create career development paths, and support growth for early-career sales professionals
- Represent and champion Monograph's culture, values, and mission
- Roll up your sleeves-this is a player/coach role in a startup environment
About You
- 5+ years in SaaS sales, including 3+ years managing a high-performing SDR team
- Proven success hiring, coaching, and developing early-career sales talent to exceed quota
- Deep understanding of outbound sales strategies, tools (Salesforce, Outreach, Gong), and performance metrics
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce (required) and comfortable using Google Suite and Slack for collaboration
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coaching skills
- Analytical mindset-you dig into data to find opportunities and drive continuous improvement
- Action-oriented and resourceful-you prioritize effectively and move quickly in high-growth environments
- Thrive in a fast-paced, startup culture and enjoy the energy of in-office collaboration

COMPENSATION:
$125,000 base + $40,000 variable ($10k quarterly variable target)
