Position Summary:
Responsible for providing the highest quality of service to all guests in the venue. This includes serving drinks, food, bussing, running food, and wine presentation.
To uplift the dining experience for guests. Have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role.
Server responsibilities include greeting and serving guests, providing detailed information on menus, multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties and collecting the bill. Ability to perform well in fast-paced environments. Front Server will be polite with our customers and make sure that they enjoy their meals. Server will also be a team player and be able to effectively communicate with the Kitchen staff to make sure orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
It is the duty of the cocktail server to provide excellent overall dining experience for our guests.
Type: Hourly, Part-Time
Pay rate: $17.25/hr + tips
Duties and Responsibilities:
May include, but not limited to the following:
Direct guests to their tables.
Suggestive selling is a major part of our service. You should always guide our guests in the right direction, creating a memorable experience
You must have a great understanding of our Champagne, wine and spirits menus.
Be ready to answer any question as it relates to food, specialty cocktails, wine & sake.
Take the guests’ order by writing it down, not memorizing it, knowing if the kitchen is running out of any items.
Always Control the flow of the dining experience by truly listening and paying attention to your tables
Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Maintaining the cleanliness of the table. Always create space for the next course by organizing and bussing your table. Our guests should never have to lift a finger.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
Protect our establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety, & beverage controls
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
Genuinely thank guests for their visit and see if they need any advice regarding San Diego
Execute all steps of service flawlessly
To follow all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
Polishing glassware and any other equipment needed to do your job
Ability to make cocktails for guests at tables when applicable
Serving food to proper tables and seat numbers
Ability to hold tables to pre-determined minimums

Part-time flexible hours are required (able to workdays, nights, weekends, holidays).

Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment

Education:
Must have one or more of the following:
Minimum of 1-2 years of serving experience required in fine dining or upscale restaurant.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
San Diego County Food Handlers Card (must be turned in within 30 days of employment).
Anti-harassment and nondiscrimination 1-hour class.
RBS – Responsible Alcohol Service (must be turned in when training concludes)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand or walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
Must be able to bend, stoop and climb.
Must be able to push and pull.
