Job Description

The Senior Graphic Designer at DeanHouston is a creative and strategic individual contributor responsible for developing and implementing design solutions across a wide range of media. This position plays a pivotal role in executing concept-driven creative work that aligns with marketing objectives and brand strategy for a diverse client portfolio.

Working closely with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Account teams, the Senior Graphic Designer takes creative ownership of projects from concept through execution. While not a supervisory role, this position may informally mentor junior team members and will be relied upon for high-level creative thinking and production excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Execution

  • Deliver world-class design work that aligns with client marketing strategies and brand standards.
  • Create compelling visual content across print, digital, environmental, and presentation media.
  • Apply strategic thinking to each project to ensure conceptual strength and design integrity.
  • Develop and present creative concepts and mini briefs based on client goals and campaign needs.
  • Ensure accurate, on-brand, and error-free final deliverables.

Project Management

  • Own and manage client creative projects from ideation to delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to execute projects efficiently and creatively.
  • Ensure 100% on-time and on-budget performance across assigned projects.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Partner with Art and Creative Directors as well as team leads to contribute visual direction and feedback.
  • Attend internal and client meetings as needed and travel to other DeanHouston offices or client sites, when required.

You are a driven, detail-oriented design professional with an exceptional creative eye and a strategic mindset. You thrive in a high-energy environment, enjoy tackling design challenges, and have a firm grasp of both print and digital mediums. You're collaborative but self-directed, and your design solutions reflect both creative spark and technical polish.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of professional design experience, preferably in a marketing or agency setting.
  • Expert with traditional design software, including CS Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Strong knowledge of typography, color theory, composition, and design systems.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and ability to design high-quality visual presentations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of production processes and attention to quality control.

Salary Range

The total target compensation for this role is $62,500 – $70,500 annually, commensurate with experience, expertise, and internal equity.
