Job Description
Freese and Nichols is currently searching for an experienced Field Safety Advisor in San Antonio, TX. As a Field safety advisor you will ensure the health and safety of FNI employees by providing expert guidance on safe practices, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You'll identify hazards, conduct safety audits, deliver training, and support a strong safety culture across all job sites and facilities.
- Support risk management by enforcing safety policies, assessing field risks, and ensuring they align with risk appetite. Train field personnel to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Demonstrate leadership in safety by making tough decisions, driving change, and holding teams accountable. Ensure policy compliance and foster commitment to integrating safety into all project tasks.
- Develop and implement field safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Oversee training, audits, and risk mitigation for operations like construction, confined spaces, and environmental work.
- Support emergency management by collaborating across departments, advising field teams on response protocols, ensuring safety measures, and contributing to preparedness efforts.
- Ensure compliance with safety-related insurance requirements, collaborate with Liability and Compliance on professional liability coverage, and develop risk mitigation strategies for field operations.
- Support physical security strategies by collaborating across departments, assessing risks, recommending preventive measures, and addressing field security vulnerabilities to protect personnel and assets.
- Act as a safety business partner, ensuring field safety standards, building trust with stakeholders, and deploying resources to support safety goals and strategies.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs tailored to business and field operation needs, covering safety procedures, risk management, and emergency response. Support transformations through complex leadership development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
- 6+ years of experience in field safety and health
- Experience related to Confined Space Entry, Excavation/Trenching operations, Fall Protection, and Rope Access/High Angle Rescue.
