Job Description
Lund seeks a dynamic and client-centered Intake Clinician to serve as the first point of contact for individuals entering our Residential Treatment Program. In this role, the Intake Clinician leads our efforts in welcoming new clients, conducting thorough assessments, and making initial treatment recommendations that set the tone for transformative care. The position works closely with our referral team to review potential admissions, maintain an active waitlist and census report, and ensure that even those waiting for services feel seen, supported, and connected.
Once clients are admitted, the position provides a blend of individual and group counseling rooted in best practices for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. The Intake Clinician also facilitates therapeutic groups, offering individual and family counseling when appropriate, documenting care with accuracy and compassion, and assisting with urine analysis and breathalyzer testing—important components in supporting our clients' recovery journeys.
This is a full-time, in-person, 40-hour per week position. The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $65,000. For the full job description, click here.
Research shows that individuals from marginalized groups—such as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, women, people with disabilities, and those from working-class backgrounds—often hesitate to apply for jobs unless they can see themselves meeting and performing every responsibility and requirement. However, many skills can be learned on the job. If you can see yourself adding value to the role, our clients, staff, and guests and meeting most of the responsibilities and qualifications, we encourage you to apply!
What You Will Bring:
- Master’s degree in clinical social work or other counseling-based field and minimum of Apprentice Substance Abuse Counselor certificate. Dual licensure preferred.
- Experience working with children, parenting and/or pregnant women, and substance use disorder treatment.
- Experience in group, family, and couples counseling.
The successful completion of a background check and driving record check is a condition of employment.
