Product Engineering Specialist I

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data Collection
• Answer technical questions from customers
• Create special door and/or track designs
• Write and/or check ECN's
• Create clear and concise production drawings
• Make bill of material changes
• Participate on DASMA technical committees
• Create test plans and test methods
• Schedule testing
• Participate in annual audits
• Coordinate and conduct design review meetings
• Inspect and approve parts
• Attend project meetings and provide updates
• Order and inspect production samples
• Install test doors in the lab

Skills

• Good understanding of DASMA test standards and other related standards
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of sectional and rolling steel garage doors
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good understanding of ISO 17025 (Lab Accreditation)
• Strong team player
• Project management
• Must have understanding of building codes, bill of materials, ISO standards and product approvals

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and have knowledge of 2D drafting. JD Edwards experience is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Job Type: Full-time / Salaried

Pay: $50,000-70,000

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
