Job Description
Appointments are made on a term-by-term basis. Adjunct faculty are required to successfully complete an online Canvas LMS orientation course before being scheduled, as well as other training if required by the department. This is an on-site blended/hybrid course, students attend class in person 60% of the time and complete the remaining 40% online through Park’s Canvas Learning Management System. Local applicants only please.
A background check and government security clearance will be required to get on base.

Minimum Qualifications
EXS260 - Strength & Conditioning
Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Rehabilitation Studies, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, or similar. Current NSCA CSCS certification strongly preferred.
EXS300 - Advanced Strength & Conditioning
Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Rehabilitation Studies, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, or similar. Current NSCA CSCS certification strongly preferred.
EXS310 - Advanced Conditioning
Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Rehabilitation Studies, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, or similar. Current NSCA CSCS certification strongly preferred.
EXS325 - Motor Skill Development
Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Rehabilitation Studies, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, or similar. Current NSCA CSCS certification strongly preferred.
Course Description
EXS260 - Strength & Conditioning
Apply the principles and methods of exercise training to enhance sports performance. This course covers general adaptation, warm-up, flexibility, resistance exercise, plyometrics, agility drills, speed, and aerobic endurance training. Students will learn to perform needs analyses and write short term and periodized training programs.
EXS300 - Advanced Strength & Conditioning
Explores detailed concepts and techniques in resistance training and conditioning. Advanced topics including biomechanics, rate of force development, velocity based training, and athlete monitoring. The course also covers evidence based intensity, volume, timing, periodization, and exercise modality decision making. Lastly, the course includes additional coverage of injury and overtraining prevention and overall athlete monitoring.
EXS310 - Advanced Conditioning
An in-depth examination of the physiological principles that must be considered when designing and implementing conditioning programs to enhance athletic performance.
EXS325 - Motor Skill Development
This course focuses on the development of motor skills across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on identifying and aiding individuals who have motor deficits or other constraints that impede acquisition or execution of various movement patterns.
