Job Description:
Help the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife fulfill its mission: To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations.
We are hiring for one permanent, full-time position located in Salem, Oregon. NOTE: May consider other ODFW office locations upon request.

What you will do:
This position provides scientific and operational leadership and direction to the Inland Fish Science Program. Program staff conduct research, monitoring, and analyses on aquatic species and their habitat and provide resulting information to others for the use in natural resource management decisions that are vital to achieving the agency's mission, especially in the face of challenging, complex, and controversial issues and worsening conditions caused by climate change.

What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications:
Six years of supervision, management, or progressively related experience; OR
three years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in a related field.

Scientific expertise and leadership
Operational and administrative leadership for a large program with many and diverse projects, staff, and funding
Staff supervision experience
Communication, coordination, and outreach experience

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%.
