Job Description
School of the Incarnation is seeking qualified candidates for an in-person middle school science teacher for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond. This teacher is expected to foster a faith-filled, Catholic learning environment which recognizes the dignity of each person while having the skill and expertise to align, plan, and implement instruction according to the Archdiocesan curriculum.
Essential Functions
- Develop and document weekly lesson plans consistent with curriculum guidelines.
- Provide grade appropriate instructional program.
- Maintain high professional standards consistent with the mission of the school and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management using PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support) protocols.
- Implement lesson plans, utilizing techniques to motivate, challenge and engage students.
- Establish reasonable standards for student achievement, updating electronic gradebook frequently.
- Interact effectively and respond to all parent communication in a professional, empathetic and timely manner.
- Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times to include arrival/dismissal, car line, recess, Cafeteria, etc.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff and administration.
- Integrate iPad and Smartboard technology effectively into a 21st Century classroom.
Position Qualifications
- Degree in Education, science background preferred
- Current MSDE certification
- Minimum of three years of experience teaching preferred
- Experience in a Catholic School setting is preferred
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite, Google Classroom, Smartboards, etc.
- Must commit to Catholic School education
Range: $46,000 - $90,000, Annualized
