Job Description

Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.

The Engineering team at Rainmaker works on our UAS, dispersion payload, and in-situ/remote sensing systems. As an electrical engineer at Rainmaker, you will work with Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and novel in-situ measurement technologies. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and optimization of cutting-edge UAS platforms and innovative sensing applications.

What You'll Do

    • Develop novel sensing paradigms and lead the electrical integration of our UAS
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including avionics, controls, and software engineers, to ensure seamless system integration
    • Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, and iterative design improvements
    • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, regulatory, and industry standards
    • Document design processes, test results, and performance data
    • Provide technical expertise and support to the broader engineering team

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
    • Proficiency in PCB design software (Altium, KiCad, etc.)
    • Experience in prototyping, testing, and validating engineering designs
    • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate technical information effectively
    • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for UAS operations
    • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing
$120,000 - $160,000 a year
