Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Receiving Clerk to verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments to prepare items for shipment by performing the following duties. Unload, QC and receive daily shipments. Inspect incoming raw materials per 3form standards. Inspect each part (s) using the defined specifications of the assigned part number or CO and the acceptable product limitations as defined by the Material inspection manual, raw material specs, given special instructions, and disposition the part(s) accordingly. Enter results using Visual / Access databases, Refer to the Material inspection manual for more detailed procedures and instructions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

 Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.

 Must know basic quality terms, definitions, and concepts.

  •   Must have basic measurement knowledge using calipers, tape measures, etc. Must be proficient in metric as well as standard measurement systems.
  •   Communicate with manager and purchasing as well as other affected parties to go over any special instructions, problems, or issues that need to be addressed (can also include working with vendors)
  •   Manage all items in Material inspection manual according to established processes.
  •   Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  •   Routes items to departments.
  •   Maintains inventory of receiving and QC materials and supplies.
  •   Must be Fork-lift certified. Responsibilities include the transportation and handling of raw materials when needed, this includes the outside warehouse, HQ, and the outside storage containers.
  •   Initiate first contact with vendors when needed. Follow Material inspection manual process when applicable.
  •   Other duties may be assigned

Authority: Following the direction of the Shipping & Receiving Manager; makes independent decisions and recommends changes that affect quality processes consistent with assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Receiving/Quality Control role
  • Experience in inventory management preferred
  • Strong understanding of health and safety protocols
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities

Physical Demands:

Amount of Time Spent Performing Activities:

  • Standing: Up to 2/3 of the shift
  • Walking: Up to 1/3 of the shift

Required Physical Strength and Movement:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. frequently
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads exceeding 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Must be able to stand for the entire length of the shift (up to 10 hours)
  • Must be able to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment
  • Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, standing, walking, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections
  • Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force
  • Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds of force regularly, including moving pallets, carts, glass/plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or similar equipment
