Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Sales Systems & Data, the Salesforce Developer will design and implement custom solutions to enhance our Salesforce platform, supporting the entire Revenue organization and key stakeholders (Sales, CS, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, etc). This is a full-time, remote position with an option to come into the New York office for locally based employees.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce functionality, including custom objects, flows, and validation rules.
  • Collaborate with Admins and stakeholders to translate functional needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain custom Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other technologies.
  • Manage the communication and API running between Salesforce and other key systems as needed.
  • Ensure code quality by writing unit tests and maintaining high test coverage in accordance with Salesforce standards.
  • Participate in deployment activities, including sandbox management, change sets, and version control (e.g., Git).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in Salesforce, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to peers and administrators.
  • Follow best practices for Salesforce development, data integrity, and security compliance.
  • Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, releases, and industry trends to recommend improvements.

  • Improved system performance and reduced technical debt through optimized configuration and streamlined processes.
  • Timely delivery of development projects, enhancements, and bug fixes aligned with sprint or project timelines.
  • 97+% invoicing accuracy driven by Salesforce data infrastructure
  • High code quality with 90%+ unit test coverage and minimal post-deployment issues.
  • Successful deployment of integrations and automations that meet business needs without disrupting existing workflows.
  • Positive feedback from our key stakeholders (revenue org, IT/Security, finance, accounting) on usability and effectiveness of developed solutions.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Visualforce.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including custom objects, workflows, flows, and permission models.
  • Proven experience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools like MuleSoft or similar).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce deployment tools (Gearset, Change Sets, Salesforce DX, version control systems like Git).
  • Ability to collaborate with Admins and stakeholders in a large user environment (500+ users) to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on system optimization, performance, and data integrity.
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit tests and adhering to Salesforce code coverage standards.
  • Solid understanding of Salesforce security models, including roles, profiles, and permission sets.
  • Salesforce Admin Certification required; Platform Developer I certification or above is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

The target base salary range for this position is $106,400 - $138,400, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
