QC Supervisor - 2Nd Shift (37997)

Role Overview:

Under direction from the Quality Assurance Manager, conducts inspection and release of products and coordinates all aspects of the quality control activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Supervise the quality control inspectors in the assigned shift, which includes handling all personnel and policies.
• Ensure teams follow established rules for handling quality control issues; these rules are meant to address quality issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate control of product during inspection and disposition.
• Assign work to employees and oversee schedules under the guidance of the QA Manager.
• Train new employees in the quality control department on proper testing procedures and safety habits.
• Handle day-to-day quality assurance activities during manufacturing and inspection of products.
• Offer feedback on procedures and recommend improvements to management.
• When applicable, implement testing procedures as outlined by manager and according to industry standards.

RELATED DUTIES:

Support efforts to ensure efficiency and compliance of all manufacturing activities.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience as a QC Inspector of Medical Devices or Chemicals
• Ability to supervise and motivate other employees
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-pace environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time occasionally.

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing plant environment, with some abnormal variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, dust and atmospheric conditions. Minimal travel required.
