Machine Controls design, programming, installation and servicing. Strong knowledge of PLC's, drives, communication protocols. Troubleshooting problems and suggesting control upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop control systems for industrial automation projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope
- Develop control algorithms and programs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human machine interfaces (HMIs)
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure proper functionality
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to select appropriate components for control systems
- Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and maintenance phases of projects
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in control system technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of control system design principles and methodologies
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing industrial motor control cabinets for heavy machinery equipment.
- Experience with control languages for PLCs and HMIs
- Familiarity with system-on-chip (SoC) architectures
- Experience with B&R, Rockwell/AB, GE, and/or Siemens and comfortable in ladder logic a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
