Position Overview

Freddie Mac's In-House Agency Team is looking for a UX Design Manager who will lead the creative management of digital properties and creation of digital products across web and mobile platforms. This role requires a self-starter with strong soft skills, expertise in design, communication, presentation, and people management. The ideal candidate will have a deep curiosity and passion for customer focused engagements, extensive experience in product design, and a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams. A strong background in financial services and exposure to systems design and technology is important.

  • Shape cohesive user journeys across a product family, guiding the design team in developing rapid visual concepts and high-fidelity multi channel designs across digital, social, email and application..
  • Set and maintain a high standard of excellence for user-centered design, championing the design system for consistency and scalability.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Creative, Analytics, Digital Development, Research, and other teams to implement best-in-class processes.

  • Consider AI advancements and their integration into design processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of interactive projects demonstrating design process, critical thinking, conversion strategy, and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Product Design or related fields, working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, content, and user research teams; Financial Services experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience with direct reports, including hiring and developing senior managers and individual contributors.
  • Expert proficiency with Figma, CEROS, and other relevant domain software.
  • Fluency in web development concepts and experience with pattern library tools such as StoryBook, Adobe XD, Zeroheight or other such products.
  • Experience with Web content management systems including Acquia Drupal, Digital Assess Management systems and workflow systems such as Jira, Confluence, Wrike a plus.

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Strategic Leadership and Vision: The ideal candidate will provide leadership, partnership, and strategic insight to expand our services into websites, appsdesktop and mobile design, and create innovative digital demos and simulators. They will leverage their expertise to identify market trends and user needs, creating innovative designs that drive AI and other product adoption.
  • Strong presentation skills: We're looking for someone who can share a vision for the work with confidence, build alignment with stakeholders, and build trust with constituents to go along with innovative digital business solutions
  • Comprehensive Design Expertise: We will look for someone who possesses extensive experience in both desktopweb design and mobile app product design. Their knowledge will be crucial in developing interfaces that are intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing across various platforms, ensuring a better user experience.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $146,000 - $218,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
