Overview
Job Summary:
Facilitates the medical-administrative aspects of the credentialing component and the governance structure to establish, contribute, and maintain continuity in standards/regulations compliance as they relate to the requirements of the Medical Staff. Serves as an essential link between senior management and the Medical Staff to promote and enhance good communications and a positive working relationship.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the credentialing and enrollment process for new providers and ensures compliance with department and regulatory guidelines.
- Develops reports relative to the credentialing process.
- Monitors provider files for accuracy.
- Provides education regarding relative to the credentialing process.
- Assists in credentialing research as it relates to the development of criteria for privileging guidelines.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 5-10 years
- Supervisor Experience: None
- Licenses & Certification: None Required
