Position Summary

This position is part of the WashU Cyclotron Facility and Nuclear Pharmacy. This position is responsible for producing clinical and investigational radiopharmaceuticals using standard operating procedures. This position will undertake several different activities, including maintenance of equipment, ordering of necessary supplies and accepting materials to be used on a daily basis.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for clinical and research use.
  • Performs analytical analyses of final radiopharmaceutical preparations for clinical or research purposes.
  • Performs analysis of radio metabolites for C-11 tracer studies in humans and animals.
  • Helps maintain instruments used for clinical/research radiopharmaceutical production and quality control; trouble shoots as required.
  • Helps prepare sterile reagents used in the production of radiopharmaceuticals; follows all appropriate SOPs for pharmaceutical preparations 100% of the time.
  • Orders necessary supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner; checks loading dock for incoming packages and appropriately receives incoming orders.
  • Ability to frequently lift 25 pounds or more.

Salary Range

$22.78 - $34.21 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
