Job Description

The Retail Lending Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for performing post-closing loan analysis in order to monitor accuracy of critical loan data, performing post-maintenance analysis in order to monitor accuracy of revised data fields, performing other analysis as assigned, and preparing reports.

Essential Functions

  • Manage personal workload/workflow
  • Meet established turnaround standards
  • Meet established benchmarks
  • Minimize errors, ensuring quality results
  • Analyze new loan source documents and comparing to critical loan data to ensure data integrity
  • Analyze loan maintenance documentation and comparing to critical loan data to ensure data integrity
  • Perform other quality control reviews assigned
  • Evaluate loan documents
  • Develop and maintain exception reports
  • Communicate results and trends
  • Track resolution of outstanding exceptions
  • Actively participate in educational seminars and other training opportunities
  • Develop and adhere to available tools that will enable highest accuracy at optimal efficiency
  • Ensure document / data integrity
  • Recommend improvements to procedures
  • Recommend improvements and encourage process, procedures, and corrective actions that ensure quality results while supporting efficiency and customer service initiatives
  • Identify and resolve causes of exceptions
  • Partner with relevant departments / personnel to improve results
  • Minimize non-payroll expenses

  • Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Work as part of a team
  • Work with on-site equipment

  • Complete other duties and special projects as requested by management

  • Discourage any unsafe work habits by setting a good example for employees by following the required safe work practices as indicated by the safety and loss prevention program

  • Ensure that each employee knows what to do in the event of an emergency

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

Less than 2 years Lending or internal audit experience

  • Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience, whether oral or written

  • Ability to establish courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals, develop and use tracking systems for monitoring own work progress, and effectively use resources such as time and information
