Firewall Engineer

Job Description

Infosys is seeking a Firewall Engineer. This position will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency in providing L2 support of Network Administration that includes troubleshooting all kinds of issues, hardware and performance related issues. Data center experience is an added advantage.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Malta NY OR Burlington VT and be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to "U.S. persons" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• At least 4 years of experience in firewall administration or network security.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, VPNs, and network protocols.
• Experience with one or more firewall platforms: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, Check Point.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is a plus.

Preferred skills:

• Cisco networking technologies (routing/switching)
• Firewall products and technologies
• Forward or reverse proxy technologies is a plus

Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based in the below locations will be

Malta NY: $66,140 to $85,249 & Burlington, V T: $71693 to $93201

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
