Role/ Department: Organizational Design (OD) Specialist/Talent Management and Development

The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to technical subject matter expert (SME) for organizational design, applying advanced frameworks and tools to tackle structural challenges.
- Drive Strategy: Partner with senior leaders and HR teams to design operating models and structures that align with our priorities and future growth.
- Lead Change: Support or lead transformational initiatives like reorganizations, workforce planning, and role alignment.
- Shape Governance: Build scalable, repeatable processes and frameworks to ensure consistency and alignment in our organizational design practices.
- Empower Others: Develop and deliver training, workshops, and toolkits to equip teams with the knowledge and skills to drive organizational design independently.
- Leverage Technology: Manage and optimize tools like OrgVue to model structures, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights for improved decision-making.
- Tell the Story: Use data analysis, visualization, and storytelling to create compelling presentations for executives, driving alignment and action.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Experience: 8-12 years in organizational design, organizational development, or HR, ideally within global or matrixed organizations.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of organizational design concepts, tools (OrgVue preferred), and large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Strategic Thinker: You can craft big-picture solutions while diving into the details.
- Data-Driven: Strong analytical and visualization skills to uncover insights and inform decisions.
- Change Leader: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and guiding others through change.
- Collaborative Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal and executive engagement skills.

Working Model: Hybrid (#LI-Hybrid)
We have a balanced hybrid working model to ensure you get the flexibility you need, and the successful candidate will spend their time between working in the office and working from home.
Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
