Job Overview:
LPN Graduates are responsible (as unlicensed personnel under the direct supervision of the RN or LPN) for providing patient care as delegated by a licensed preceptor. In this role, the LPN Graduate will demonstrate the knowledge, critical thinking and integration of evidence-based practice requirements within their scope. The LPN Graduate learns to formulate patient care on the components of the nursing process. Nurse Graduates are able to benefit from role development as they transition from the LPN Graduate role to the licensed LPN role, while awaiting their licensure. The goal of this training position is to facilitate the transition of all LPN Graduates to licensed-LPN responsibilities at the time the Graduate presents a verifiable, full, and unrestricted license to practice as an LPN in the appropriate state of residency/practice.
Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Applied for and/or awaiting results of the NCLEX exam
- Hold any required provisional licensing (as dictated by the state board of application)
- This posting is intended for all 2025 LPN graduates for inpatient units located at Deaconess Midtown, Gateway, Henderson, and Gibson Hospitals. (2024 graduates, or prior without any LPN experience, may apply as well)*
