Salary: $90,000 - 110,000 plus bonuses
Schedule: Very flexible hybrid

Association Tax Advisors is launching a new tax and accounting firm dedicated to serving the unique financial needs of community associations and property management companies. We are a leader in the property management industry, providing tax and accounting services to our member company affiliates across the United States. Our firm is dedicated to serving the unique financial and tax needs of community associations and property management companies within our network.
Who You Are:
We're seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to lead and operate the firm from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to shape the vision, culture, and operations of a firm expected to serve roughly 1,000 clients in 2026.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in tax compliance and financial reporting, and possesses the leadership qualities to run a growing business with an owner-operator style. The ability to analyze opportunity, build strong relationships, educate employees and clients, manage initiatives, engage and retain clients, and address client escalations will be crucial to our success.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the firm, including staffing, client services, and tech adoption.
- Establish workflows, systems, and best practices tailored to the community association space.
- Lead business development efforts and help scale operations in line with growth targets.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of federal and state tax returns (e.g., Form 1120-H)
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, budget management, and performance goals.
- Engage and manage client relationships with the assistance of offshore employee resources.
- Develop a firm culture focused on client service and compliance excellence.
- Develop internal controls to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financials, documentation, and data.
- Provide support and guidance on tax-related inquiries and issues.
- Utilize data analytics to provide insights on sales, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational and financial effectiveness.
Skills You'll Bring:
- Active CPA license or ability to become licensed within 6 months.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax or assurance services.
- Experience serving community associations, HOAs, or property management clients is preferred.
- Proven leadership or business management experience.
- Deep understanding of Forms 1120-H, 1120, and nonprofit/tax-exempt accounting rules.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., CCH, UltraTax, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to build infrastructure from scratch.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
