South College Asheville Campus is conducting a search for the position of adjunct clinical instructor for the School of Nursing in the Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) and/or LPN program. This position will be responsible for supervising students in the clinical setting. Preference will be given to candidates with mental health nursing experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain professional standards of practice in teaching in the clinical settings.
• Collaborate with course faculty and works closely with clinical coordinator.
• Facilitate effective learning and critical thinking/reasoning during clinical while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with clinical agencies.
• Monitors student progress with evaluations and grades care plans as assigned. Provides positive and constructive feedback if needed.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years full-time clinical experience as registered nurse
• MSN preferred. A BSN with significant clinical experience in area of assignment may be considered.
• Prefer experience in secondary instruction.
• Active RN license in NC
