Required Qualifications

  • High level of English proficiency, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student.
  • Involved with a community or campus club, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Not enrolled in AEC courses.
  • Experience working with international students in a patient and helpful manner, as evidenced by application materials.
  • Demonstrated experience giving instructions and explaining details.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Awarded and Accepted a FWS award.
  • Prompt and dependable as evidenced by application materials.
  • Demonstrated initiative and independence as evidenced by application materials.
  • Travel or residency abroad.
  • Clear, unaffected speech as evidenced by application materials.
  • Prior customer service experience.

Position Requirements

During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
