Summary
The Truck Driver is responsible for the movement of material inside the facility as well as the coordination of material outside, whether it is incoming from a supplier or outgoing to a customer. It works very closely with the manufacturing departments to ensure that parts are available when needed at every stage of production.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities This job includes but is not limited to the following:
•Shipping –loading trucks, completing required paperwork, ensuring proper documentation, etc.
•Receiving –unloading trucks, verifying proper documentation, etc.
•Maintain accurate records
•Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
•Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves
•Maintain a clean and safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions in a timely manner
•Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries, including wearing the proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
•Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
Position Requirements
•CDL license preferred
•Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others

•Aware of conditions or circumstances that affect one’s own safety or the safety of others

Must be able to read, understand and execute written directives
•Must possess good mechanical skills
•Must maintain a good attendance record
Physical Demands
•Must be capable of lifting 50lbs, reach and lift moderately heavy parts –up to several hundred repetitions per shift
•Must be able to ascend / descend stairs
•Must be able to sit, walk, climb, stoop and kneel
