Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Warehouse Associate to handle daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring timely order fulfillment, prioritizing warehouse time/tasks, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Forklift experience is essential. Proficiency in SAP is a plus.
Responsibilities: (Essential Functions)
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels using SAP.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Follow inventory control procedures.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Unloading and loading of trucks.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy.
- Ensure proper documentation of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickup and delivery.
Order Fulfillment:
- Picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor order status and resolve any issues.
- Implement strategies to improve order fulfillment speed and accuracy.
Warehouse Operations:
- Operate stand-up electric forklifts to move and store materials.
- Put away stock in designated locations.
- Retrieve stock for order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
SAP Utilization:
- Utilize SAP for inventory management, order processing, and reporting.
- Generate reports on warehouse performance metrics.
- Troubleshoot SAP-related issues.
- Ensure data accuracy in SAP.
Other Duties:
- Assist in other sections of the facility as needed.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Handle warehouse and equipment maintenance.
- Any other tasks assigned by management.
Experience, Education, & License Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.
- Certified to operate forklifts with 6+ months of forklift experience.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with and management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exposure to SAP warehouse management modules is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
