Location and Schedule
This position will be on-site at Denver International Airport.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, during business hours (6:30 am - 5:00 pm MST).
Schedules are based on the needs of the organization and are subject to change
What You'll Do
As an Airport Security Technician at Denver International Airport, you will have the opportunity to lead the Sponsorship Program as well as conduct training and communicate with all City departments, airport vendors, contractors, air carriers, and tenants. Responsibilities and duties of the position may include, but are not limited to the following:
Process and update Sponsorship Agreements for contractors and vendors operating on behalf of tenants at DEN and conduct reverse audits on sponsored companies. Completes the closure of companies no longer operating at DEN.
Assist Training & Communications Manager with administration of New Participant meetings.
Ensure that information on the Authorized Signatory Portal is accurate and up to date.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the Airport ID badge application processes and answers to stakeholder questions regarding airport rules and regulations.
Remain current on all changes to local and federal regulations, Airport Security Program (ASP), and TSA Security Directives.
Process and track Criminal History Record Checks (CHRC) and Security Threat Assessments (STA), employment authorization, and immigration status.
Process requests for vehicle registration in the secured area for airlines, tenants, vendors, contractors and city employees according to requirements of the Airport Security Program and Denver airport rules and regulations (Part 20).
Support for Access Control Program in accordance with the Airport Security Program (ASP) and 49 CFR Part 1542.
Work with security information technology staff to correct discrepancies with the Identity Management System (IDMS).
Ensure all information collected is handled following Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Protected Personal Information (PPI) protocols.
Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. However, the allocation of positions will be determined by the amount of time spent performing the essential duties listed above.

Experience presenting training materials in a regulatory atmosphere
Proficient but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with security related identity management software

Required Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
Experience Requirement: Three (3) years of experience working with access control or identity management database systems related to enforcement of TSA regulations and aviation specific regulations.
Education & Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
Licensure & Certification: Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application
FBI Background Check
FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN). Employees are also required to report any felony convictions and/or moving violations to maintain this clearance and be eligible for continued employment. By position, a pre-employment physical/drug test may be required.
Shift Work, Snow Duties, and Emergency Incidents
Denver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges arise, weather conditions warrant, or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays).
