Job Description

As an Extrusion Operator, you will be part of a team responsible for the safe, productive operation of a market leading company’s innovative facility.
Ensinger processes high performance engineering plastics at our North American headquarters in North Strabane Township. Serving a growing market for engineering plastics, Ensinger combines our processing and extrusion expertise with a deep knowledge of high-performance polymers and applications.
Located in Washington County since 1985, Ensinger has grown year over year. To support our continued growth Ensinger has recently constructed a 65,000 sq. ft. warehousing and shipping facility.
Key Responsibilities
Work as a team to safely meet or exceed production targets and goals
General manufacturing tasks (supply raw material, store finished goods, perform quality checks, set up & tear down equipment and maintain good housekeeping)
Operate pressure extrusion equipment
Support the care and maintenance of all equipment in safe operating condition
Support continuous improvement projects
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, advanced applicable technical education, a plus
Demonstrated effective communication skills
Detail oriented, ability to monitor production parameters and clearly report or record production data
Ability to use hand tools, power tools and calipers/measuring devices
Aptitude to learn and operate computer-based manufacturing equipment and systems
Ability to lift 55 pounds
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Willingness to work a rotating, continuous operating schedule based on 12-hour shifts. The schedule affords every other weekend off, while averaging 3.5 shifts per week.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus
Working knowledge of computer software including Excel and Word, a plus

$22.00/hr. to start in a pay-for skill program with top rates greater than $29.00.
