Essential Job Duties:

To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with

or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Prepares and facilitates facility in-services for new pharmacy guidelines and or operational changes
  • Prepares and facilities monthly/quarterly facility training
  • Back-up to Teams, as needed
  • Responsible for resolution of facility phone calls
  • Document issues which require follow-up/referral to compliance committee
  • Directs specific pharmaceutical questions to input pharmacists
  • Refers questions to appropriate department as needed
  • Reports errors/potential errors to quality assurance personnel and records information on call log
  • Assists with pharmacy related communications to the facilities
  • Assists Consultant Pharmacists with drug destruction and cart audits
  • Extensive travel to facilities and related meetings is required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participates in on-going education, including in-services and other activities, to maintain and improve

individual competence

Required Work Experience:

  • Three years related experience within pharmacy and/or healthcare setting and/or training

Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:

  • Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Other Requirements:

  • Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible hours
  • Travel Required

Required Computer Software/Equipment Used:

  • Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
