PRIMARY PURPOSE:
As a CNA in our clinic, you will assist healthcare providers with patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure a smooth and efficient experience for our patients. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about healthcare and enjoys working in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
- Welcome and prepare patients for exams and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and patient history.
- Assist with minor clinical procedures and patient care tasks.
- Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and equipment.
- Document patient information accurately in the EHR system.
- Provide patient education and follow-up instructions as directed.
- Support front desk operations as needed (e.g., scheduling, phone calls).
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical information
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, orally, in writing and electronically.
- Ability to interact and work with diverse populations.
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, Providers or others professionally.
- Knowledge of Certified Nursing Assisting duties
- Proficiency in use of the computer including documentation in EHR software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to endure short, intermittent, and/or long periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties.
- Full range of body motion. Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
- Ability to lift & carry objects weighing up to 25lbs. Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases and utilizing standard precautions to prevent transmission of diseases acquired by contact with blood, body fluids, non-intact skin and mucous membranes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current CNA certification in Florida.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is a plus.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
