Senior Web Strategy Manager
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Web Strategy Manager to develop, drive, and own the overall strategy and performance of Fastly.com. Reporting to the Director of Web Marketing, you will be instrumental in creating a world-class digital experience that drives user engagement, improves conversion funnels, and supports our global business objectives.
This ideal candidate is well versed in funnel management, website testing, and has a solid understanding of digital UX managing a portfolio of web programs including: Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), personalization, user experience (UX), and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You are a proactive, data-driven leader who excels at translating complex web analytics into a clear, actionable roadmap. You are an excellent communicator who can partner with cross-functional teams-from engineering to content-to prioritize and execute high-impact web initiatives.
What You'll Do:
Web Strategy & Program Management:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap for Fastly.com, driving measurable increases in conversion rates and funnel impact that align with our B2B and Product-Led Growth (PLG) goals.
- Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, and Design to manage a portfolio of web programs, prioritize initiatives, and communicate performance.
- Serve as the web authority for major digital projects, including new page launches, site redesigns, and the integration of new marketing technologies.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to support web development, SEO, and analytics efforts.
User Experience & Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO):
- Champion a data-driven testing culture to continuously improve user journeys and conversion rates across the website.
- Lead experimentation initiatives across Fastly.com to improve on page UX and visual experience, content hierarchy, message architecture, and more.
- Analyze user behavior, heatmaps, and conversion funnels to identify friction points and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and execute a personalization strategy to deliver tailored experiences for key audience segments.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO):
- Oversee our global SEO program, ensuring that technical health and content strategy align with best practices to maximize organic visibility and traffic.
- Collaborate with the content team to inform data-driven content strategies based on keyword research, competitive analysis, and search intent.
- Partner with engineering to prioritize technical SEO fixes and improvements related to site architecture, page speed, and indexability.
Performance Analysis & Reporting:
- Own the holistic reporting for website performance, establishing dashboards and communicating key metrics for traffic, engagement, and conversion to stakeholders.
- Translate web data from multiple sources (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Looker, GSC) into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Host regular performance reviews with content owners and business partners to identify new opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
- Driver user research to understand prospect and customer priorities and pain points to develop robust hypotheses, launch experimentation and share learnings based on testing results.
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience in web marketing or web program management, with a proven track record of improving site performance in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Deep expertise with web analytics (GA4), testing and personalization platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO), and data visualization tools (Looker).
- Proven track record of improving key web metrics, including conversion rates, user engagement, and pipeline contribution, through experimentation and personalization.
- A strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including knowledge of technical SEO and content strategy.
- Extensive experience with SEO tools and Google Search Console (GSC).
- Excellent project management skills, with experience managing large-scale web projects with cross-functional teams (e.g., Engineering, Design, Product Marketing).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex web concepts and performance data to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable working on a fully distributed team around the world.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a relevant field.
Work Hours
- This position will require you to be available during core business hours working on West Coast time zone, with flexibility to meet with Global colleagues across Central, East Coast, as well as Europe and Asia Pacific.
Work Location(s) & Travel Requirements
This position is open to the following office location:
- San Francisco, CA - working from the office Tuesday-Thursday
Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.
This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary:
The estimated salary range for this position is $155,370 to $186,444.
Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly's equity and discretionary bonus programs.
