Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Weave Superintendent to lead our weaving operations. This role will oversee all aspects of the weaving department, including safety, quality, production efficiency, employee development, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of weaving processes and equipment, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise all activities in the weaving department (100+) to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet plant goals and customer requirements.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and work closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Lead, train, and mentor supervisors, technicians, and operators, promoting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Monitor production data and performance metrics, taking corrective action when necessary.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for efficiency, waste reduction, and product quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with planning, quality, engineering, and other departments to resolve production issues and meet plant objectives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or bachelor's in Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a weaving or textile manufacturing leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of weaving processes, looms (air jet, rapier, or projectile), and textile production flow.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive production performance.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Plant environment: exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and moving machinery.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing stairs for extended periods may be required.
