Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to CMS criteria for acute rehabilitation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in patient care.
- Conduct thorough evaluation and assessment of patients to determine eligibility for inpatient rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor personalized Rehabilitation Plans for patients.
- Provide ongoing medical and rehabilitation management to ensure optimal outcomes for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Offer clinical leadership and guidance to the rehabilitation team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that the Acute Rehabilitation Unit operates in compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
- Provide a minimum of 20 hours per week of direct clinical coverage in the Acute Rehabilitation Unit.
- Maintain active involvement in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and evidence-based practices.
Education and Experience:
- Must maintain an unrestricted right and license to practice medical services in the State of Louisiana
- Must have completed residency program
- State of Louisiana Certification/Registration
