Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing excellent patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to Ob/Gyn procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
- Utilize aseptic techniques while conducting procedures to maintain a sterile environment.
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare staff to discuss findings and assist in diagnosis.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and examination results in compliance with medical protocols.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Requirements
- Certs: ARDMS, ARDMS AB, BLS
- Years of Experience: 2 year(s)
- Proven experience as an Ultrasonographer or similar role in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to diagnostic radiology.
- Familiarity with Ob/Gyn ultrasound procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to demonstrate patient care skills with empathy and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and interpreting sonographic images.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and safety protocols within a medical environment.

- Will position float between units: No
- Is on-call required? Yes 1-2 nights per week
- Are weekends required? Yes occasional weekend coverage
- Are block schedules required? Yes
- What are expected ratios? 1:1
