Job Description

The Preschool Instructional Manager serves as the instructional leader responsible for ensuring high-quality teaching and learning across the preschool site. The Manager provides coaching, support, and oversight to classroom staff to uphold curriculum fidelity, drive strong student outcomes, and address areas of instructional or behavioral need.

Key Responsibilities:

   • Conduct regular classroom walkthroughs and provide real-time coaching

   • Monitor lesson plans, student data, and curriculum implementation

   • Lead site-based professional learning communities (PLCs)

   • Coordinate assessment cycles (e.g., TS GOLD) and data-driven reflection

    • Support teachers with proactive behavior guidance and student interventions

   • Lead or support family-facing meetings as needed

   • Serve as instructional lead for summer programming if assigned

  • Collaborate with Site Director on staff development, instructional systems, and school readiness goals

Requirements

  • New Jersey P-3 Teacher Certification
  • Bachelor’s required; Master’s in Special Education preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of early childhood classroom experience
  • Demonstrated success in instructional coaching and/or teacher mentorship, with evidence of positive impact on teacher practice or student outcomes (e.g., coaching logs, mentee evaluations, program outcomes, or letters of recommendation).

Candidates must demonstrate a sustained track record of instructional excellence, including a minimum of two consecutive years rated Highly Effective or four consecutive years rated Effective based on a state-recognized teacher evaluation system. Documentation will be required during the hiring process.
