The Boeing CompanyBoeing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineering Manager to support a Phantom Works Program in Berkeley, MO.
In this pivotal role as Production Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic team of Manufacturing, Tooling, and Industrial Engineers, driving efforts to define, stabilize, and improve the production system for the Program.
By leveraging your expertise and innovative thinking, you will guide your team in identifying inefficiencies, developing robust solutions, and implementing process improvements that enhance productivity and quality ensuring customers’ needs are met. This role not only emphasizes technical and leadership excellence but also champions a culture of continuous improvement, empowering your team to achieve operational excellence and deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in Production Engineering.
Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures.
Create and lead a team to execute tooling and model-based instruction (MBI) release curves.
Set operational goals and acquire necessary resources for projects and processes.
Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvement initiatives.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.
Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes.
Manage, develop, and motivate employees to achieve high performance.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-Start is required.
The ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
5+ years’ experience in a production engineering role
Proven experience in managing engineering teams and projects.
Strong understanding of production and assembly processes.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
9+ years’ experience in a production engineering role
Experience in the aerospace industry, particularly with military or defense programs.
Knowledge of Boeing's organizational processes, program plans, and policies.
Demonstrated ability in budget management and business process improvement.
Familiarity with critical path methodology and project leadership principles.
Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
Experience with structural repair principles and systems thinking.
Composite build experience or knowledge.
Existing Valid US Security Clearance.
