Lab Assistant - BiologyJob Description:
Student Lab Assistants are responsible for assisting the lab coordinator with the set up and breakdown of Microbiology and/or Anatomy and Physiology labs.
- Daily tasks include wipe down benchtops,
- change bench paper,
- sterilize safety glasses,
- clean and put away any used materials,
- re-fill water and ethanol bottles,
- replace empty glove boxes,
- wash glassware and put away,
- set up anatomy models on benchtops,
- assist in preparing microbiology reagents.
Requirements:
Candidate must be a currently enrolled student at Mercer University.
Majoring and/or minoring in Biology or a closely related field is a plus.
Previous lab experience is strongly preferred.
Pay rate starts at $10.80/hour.
