Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Supply Associate position is responsible for assisting with the management of clinical supplies and equipment used in clinical studies. The Supply Associate is responsible for preparing and shipping study supplies to study participants and study staff, maintenance and accountability of study supplies and nursing equipment, ordering of supplies, and inventory management. The Supply Associate works closely with the Supply team, PI, sub-Is and study team to ensure safe and efficient conduct of clinical studies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate, collaborate and provide expertise in support of clinical studies
- Provide technical assistance with clinical studies
- Implement study specific allocation and shipping logistics for clinical/nursing supplies
- Prepare and ship study supplies and nursing equipment to study participants and study staff
- Set up and manage protocols in the electronic supply inventory system, as required
- Perform study and nursing supplies distribution activities
- Responsible for the proper documentation of the supplies inventory including delivery, receipt, dispensation, return, lost, damaged, reconciliation, destruction and study close out.
- Ensure Study Supply rooms and Nursing Supply room are clean, orderly, organized and presentable
- Order clinical/nursing supplies as needed
- Maintain proper functioning of equipment used in the Supply rooms
- Participate in the orientation and training of new clinical operation staff and Supply managers or associates, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- At least 1 year of experience in a CRO, clinical research, pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology industry and/or equivalent transferable skills, preferred.
- Supply management experience strongly preferred
- Medical and scientific knowledge preferred
- Experience in a fast-moving environment and comfort with being flexible and adaptable as requirements change.
Skills/Competencies
- Ability to work independently- Demonstrates attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to switch between tasks as priorities change is critical. Problem solving skills and a willingness to learn are required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain positive project team member and internal Science 37 relationships. Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Computer skills- Working knowledge of MS Office suite and Google applications. Able to generate business correspondence, create forms and generate reports as required. Willingness to gain expertise in the use of proprietary software.
- Practices professionalism and integrity in all actions- Demonstrates ability to foster concepts of teamwork, cooperation, self- control, and flexibility to get the work done. Adjusts quickly to complex changing work priorities and unplanned events.
- Organization and Analytical skill set- Demonstrates high level of attention to detail, outstanding organizational activities and good blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, planning and implementation.
- Time Management and Goal-Oriented- Have excellent time management skills, action-oriented, goal-oriented and innovative.
- Other- Ability to communicate in English (both verbal and written)
SUPERVISION
This position reports to performs duties under the direction of the Director of Investigator Network and Logistics. Must be able to work independently.
