The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced and outstanding Cloud Data Engineer to join our technology team. As a lead Cloud Data Engineer, you'll design, develop and maintain AWS based data systems and pipelines that are at the core of our Data platform which supports our trading, analytics and operational teams. You will interact with business managers, data analysts and product teams to deliver solutions, scale operations and provide support. You should have ability to traverse fluidly within AWS data services eco-system. This position provides flexibility of working out of our office in Minneapolis or working remotely.

As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you will:

• Interact with Business teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions

• Design and develop data ETL pipelines using traditional as well as distributed data systems (SSIS, Glue, Athena, Spark etc.)

• Maintain AWS data systems and infrastructure including Aurora RDS and Redshift, EMR cluster, Athena, Data Lake etc.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience with data modeling of relational data sets and SQL

• 5+ years of relational DB experience (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgresSQL, Aurora, Redshift) with exposure to document DBs such as DynamoDB

• 5+ years experience in AWS based ETL operations using Glue, Athena, EMR, PySpark etc.

• 5+ years of experience of AWS DevOps, IAM, VPC, S3, Cloud Formation, FTP, DMS etc.

• Experience in database migration, troubleshooting databases and performance tuning

• Experience in python or C#

• Undergraduate or higher degree in CS or related STEM area

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS Certified Data Analytics; AWS Certified Database

• AWS Associate/Professional Level Certifications
