Job Title: Class A CDL Driver – Local Route (Peru, IL)
Location: Peru, IL
Schedule: Home Daily
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Class A CDL Driver to support our operations in Peru, IL. This is a local driving position with daily home time, ideal for a driver who enjoys a mix of driving, hands-on work, and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Complete 4–8 short-haul trips daily (approx. 1 mile each) to a primary customer in Peru, IL
Occasionally handle one-off shipments to other customer locations
Unload trailers at the customer site independently
Take inventory multiple times per week and report findings to the plant
Operate a Chevy pickup truck with a gooseneck trailer (over 10,000 lbs)
Obtain customer-specific training and certification as required
Qualifications
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Clean driving record and strong safety mindset
Ability to lift, move, and unload freight as needed
Comfortable with inventory tracking and basic reporting
Willingness to complete customer-specific training and certification
One Year of Verifiable Driving Experience
Hourly Pay Rate: $26.00 dependent on experience*
*pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living
Bonus/Incentive Pay: Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses. A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.
