The Salesforce Engineer II will play a pivotal role in helping the company maximize the value of their Salesforce investment by creating tailored solutions that address unique business needs, improve user experience, and support data-driven decision-making. Work closely with product owners and user experience teams in an agile environment to incrementally release new features and applications within the Salesforce platform. Participate in planning and collaborate with team members to facilitate solutions. Write code, formulate tests, and contribute to the continuous development pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Design prototype and build user interfaces & frameworks with a platform mindset.
Understanding and optimizing both frontend and backend components as well as internal tools, such as configuration management
Deploy new features and perform unit testing.
Ensure that applications and APIs developed by the team are reliable and meet users' needs
Identify and report defects or issues in the software using a defect tracking system.
Contribute to architecture, code design, estimates, code reviews, and documentation to ensure top quality software.
Collaborate with software engineers, project managers, business analysts and QA analysts.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to adapt Dev/QA practices accordingly.
Hybrid Schedule: 3 days remote / 2 days in office
30-day notification period preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent proven experience required.
4+ years of experience developing on the Salesforce.com plattform.
Experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex, Triggers, Visualforce pages, Lightning Web Development, Java Script, Platform Events, REST/JSON and XML integrations
Experience with security concepts (authentication, authorization, encryption, digital signature), SSL, web service proxies, firewall, SAML 2.0, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0
Deep understanding of web development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as proven expertise in Salesforce Experience Cloud development, including Apex, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
Proven ability to integrate business processes across disparate systems using AWS, Azure, ESB, SOAP and/or REST based web services.
Existing Salesforce certifications or demonstrated success on Trailhead are looked upon very favorably.
Strong foundations of basic software development principles: Design patterns, Modular programming, Object Oriented design and Microservices.
Demonstrate excellent understanding of various governor limits applicable to Salesforce.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
