We are seeking a forward-thinking leader to drive innovation in AI/ML product development and machine learning operations (ML Ops). This role will lead the design and deployment of advanced data science and machine learning solutions that enhance decision-making and deliver measurable business value. You will play a key role in shaping the strategic use of data across the organization, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to build scalable, impactful models.

In addition to technical leadership, this position is responsible for building and developing a high-performing, diverse team of data science professionals. You will provide hands-on mentorship, foster a culture of innovation, and lead by example in applying analytical solutions that support business growth.

The ideal candidate will also serve as a key advocate for data science across the organization-partnering with stakeholders, advising leadership, and championing the adoption of AI/ML tools and practices to create a more data-driven culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and inspire the development of advanced data science, statistical models, AI, and ML capabilities.
  • Revolutionize insight driven decision-making across retail functions and brand teams.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging data science techniques.
  • Implement ML Ops practices for scalable and efficient machine learning model deployment.
  • Guide Enterprise Analytics teams in using AWS services to build accurate, insightful models while minimizing technical debt.
  • Recruit, inspire, and lead a diverse team of data science professionals.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and hands on support to foster innovation and personal growth.
  • Lead by example in applying analytical solutions that drive growth.
  • Partner with data and analytics leaders to create an insights driven culture.
  • Consult and advise executives as well as collogues on AI/ML solutions for better decision-making.
  • Encourage the adoption of data science tools to enhance performance and inspire business leaders.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MA/MS/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or MBA) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience leveraging data science to uncover business insights, improve customer experiences, and drive strategic value
  • Proven track record developing analytics strategies, tools, and automated reporting systems to enable data-driven decision-making
  • Deep expertise in data management, data analysis, and working with diverse datasets and tools across large-scale environments
  • 5+ years leading and mentoring data science teams, including experience managing offshore and cross-functional teams
  • Strong foundation in statistical methods and techniques such as regression, clustering, forecasting, decision trees, ANOVA, and experimental design
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI/ML models to enhance performance and decision-making, ideally within a retail or consumer-focused environment
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and technologies including SQL, Python, R, SAS, Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and executive presentation skills, with experience managing budgets and vendor relationships

The salary range for this opportunity is $185,000 - $210,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience, among other factors.
