Job Description
The Gas Turbine Engineer will support the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of gas turbine systems within BaRupOn's power generation portfolio. This associate-level role focuses on technical support, inspections, data analysis, and troubleshooting under the guidance of senior engineers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in turbine operation, power plant systems, or rotating equipment and is eager to grow within the energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of gas turbines and auxiliary systems
- Monitor performance metrics and analyze trends to identify issues or inefficiencies
- Support vibration analysis, thermodynamic performance tests, and outage planning
- Collaborate with senior engineers during startup, shutdown, and load testing
- Maintain technical records, service logs, and compliance documentation
- Ensure all work follows OSHA and environmental safety standards
- Interface with OEM technicians, contractors, and plant operators during service events
- Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Power Generation Technology
- 2–5 years of experience working with gas turbines, rotating equipment, or industrial power systems
- Familiarity with turbine operation principles, fuel systems, and plant safety protocols
- Able to read mechanical schematics, P&IDs, and service manuals
- Skilled in troubleshooting, routine inspections, and condition monitoring
- Willingness to work in industrial environments and travel to job sites as needed
- Strong attention to detail and documentation habits
Preferred Certifications
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Gas turbine OEM training (GE, Siemens, Solar Turbines, etc.)
- First Aid/CPR
- NCCER or NIMS mechanical certification
