Reports To: Production Supervisor
Direct Reports: None
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am-4:00pm
Salary: $17.00/hour
Location: 4000 S Racine Ave, Chicago, IL 60609
FLSA Status: Non-exempt (Eligible for OT)
Employment Type: Full time
Position Overview: To complete various inspection and verification related tasks, such as: conducting audits, investigations, inspection, repairs, and filing reports related to the tasks. The goal is to identify, investigate, and inform.
Essential Job Functions:

Perform quality assurance inspections at various stages of the production process. Includes verifying incoming work bundles, visual quality inspections on finished garments and verifying special labeling and packaging requests.
Take leadership and responsibility for determining compliance exceptions based on experience, product knowledge, and historical information.
Reject work that does not meet NSA quality standards.
Notify management of any non-conformances found with regard to quality, workmanship, and measurements.
Offer new ideas (OFI’s) based on your textile education and/or previous work experience.
Other tasks, as needed and determined by management to promote awareness, improvement, and organization.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

May be reassigned to assist other departments.

Training: Provided on the job
Qualifications:
            Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
            Experience: One year of work in a manufacturing facility (similar in size and scope to NSA) preferred.
            Skills:

Detail-oriented person with strong personal skills.
An ability to detect and report non-conformances.
Basic computer skills preferred
