Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Plasma Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC plasma cutting machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards, and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires a strong understanding of various machining processes and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Duties

  • Operate plasma cutting equipment.
  • Perform CNC programming and setup for various machining tasks.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
  • Utilize hand tools and fabrication techniques for assembly tasks.
  • Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and quality.
  • Adhere to safety standards while operating machinery, including forklifts and cranes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing process.

Skills

  • Proficient in CNC laser cutting, electrical discharge machining, and stamping press operations.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
  • Experience with tooling, sheet metal work, welding, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to operate various types of machinery safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection standards.
