Job Description

Marketing at Brex

Marketing tells the story of Brex to the world. From acquisition to activation, we translate product value into business results. Our team spans Revenue, Product, and Brand Marketing, and works closely with nearly every function at Brex. We move fast, experiment often, and think deeply about customer behavior. If you want your creativity to drive growth and shape perception, this is the place.

What you'll do

As a Senior Social Media Associate, you'll help bring Brex to life across platforms by supporting the development and execution of high-impact, high-frequency content. Reporting to the Social Media & Community Lead, you'll play a hands-on role in content creation, publishing, community engagement, and performance tracking across our core and emerging channels.

We're looking for someone who operates with a growth mindset - someone who's eager to learn, test, and iterate to figure out what resonates. You'll help shape how Brex shows up in the world - and make our social handles a destination for finance leaders and founders alike.

Where you'll work

This role will be based in our San Francisco, New York City, Salt Lake City, or Vancouver BC office. We are a hybrid environment that combines the energy and connections of being in the office with the benefits and flexibility of working from home. We currently require a minimum of two coordinated days in the office per week, Wednesday and Thursday. As a perk, we also have up to four weeks per year of fully remote work!

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day publishing and campaign execution across X (Twitter), LinkedIn, YouTube, Reddit, and emerging platforms
  • Maintain and manage the content calendar within Sprout Social; draft copy, prep assets, and schedule posts using Sprout and native tools
  • Collaborate with design, brand, and content partners to brief in creative needs and own production workflows for social-first content
  • Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Sora, Midjourney, Synthesia) to accelerate visual and written content development
  • Proactively engage in conversations across platforms - identify relevant threads, founder posts, and cultural moments where Brex should add value or spark discussion
  • Monitor inboxes, tags, and mentions daily - respond thoughtfully to build trust, resolve questions, and strengthen community loyalty
  • Work with Social CX to escalate and resolve customer support issues
  • Spotlight customers across social platforms - collaborate with Customer Marketing and CX to turn success stories, wins, and everyday usage into compelling, shareable content that builds credibility and community
  • Build relationships with engaged customers - respond to advocates, amplify organic mentions, and surface insights from social listening to inform future content, campaigns, and product feedback loops
  • Contribute to employee and partner advocacy efforts, internal activations, and community spotlights
  • Track performance, surface insights, and identify opportunities to optimize publishing and content
  • Stay ahead of platform shifts, fintech/startup trends, and creator culture to keep Brex relevant and high-signal

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience managing or supporting social for a B2B tech, fintech, or SaaS brand
  • Strong copywriting and content editing skills with a sharp, concise voice
  • Hands-on experience with visual and multimedia content creation - using both traditional tools and AI-based production tools
  • Familiarity with managing brand presence and engagement on YouTube and Reddit
  • Understanding of platform nuances and what performs best across X, LinkedIn, and video/creator-driven platforms
  • Experience with Sprout Social, and basic analytics dashboards
  • A track record of community interaction - you've built and nurtured audience relationships
  • Growth mindset and curiosity - you love experimenting, learning fast, and shipping often
  • Deep attention to detail with the ability to balance speed and precision
  • A collaborative approach, with comfort working cross-functionally across creative, content, comms, and marketing

Compensation

The expected salary range for this role is USD $84,343 - $105,429. However, the starting base pay will depend on a number of factors including the candidate's location, skills, experience, market demands, and internal pay parity. Depending on the position offered, equity and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
