Job Description: Hand Lay Technician
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Summary
Proficient to perform hand lay activities for the manufacture of rubber parts.
Primary Duties
- Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment and tools.
- Handle and place feed stock.
- Prepare/cut templates for cutting feed stock.
- Perform cutting of feed stock.
- Prep and apply feed stock to part.
- Prep and place for autoclave.
- Perform trim/buff operation on finished parts.
- Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Complete required documentation.
- Perform housekeeping tasks required to maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Activity Demands
- Standing/walking for majority of shift.
- Lifting to 50 pounds.
- Pulling, pushing, use of tools.
- Performing work in a hot environment.
Requirements
- Mastery of Hand Lay process with 6 months minimum experience.
- Ability to communicate using English
- Ability to read measurements
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Available to work shifts.
Experience
- One year experience working in an industrial environment.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
