Job Description

Job Summary

Part of the Entrance Screening Division, the Public Safety Manager ensures that all security protocols related to entrance screening are followed across the healthcare facility. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the entrance screening and guest services teams, developing, updating and implementing policy and procedure, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.

The Public Safety Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient handling of all individuals entering the facility, ensuring potential threats are identified, and screening measures are both effective and customer focused. This role plays a key part in enhancing the overall security strategy of the healthcare organization.

Full Time Day Shift, Hours are Monday-Friday, hours 8am-4:30pm and /or 8:30am-5:00pm.

Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
  • 2 year/associate degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of associate degree

EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant Experience

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

  • IAHSS Advanced Level Certification (CAHSO) - Must be obtained within 12 months of hire/placement
  • IAHSS Supervisor Level Certification (CHSS) - Must be obtained within 18 months of hire/placement
  • FEMA IS-100.C
  • FEMA IS-906
  • FEMA IS-907
  • FEMA IS-200.C
  • IAHSS Basic Level Certification (CHSO) - Must be obtained within 6 months of hire/placement
