Here's what you will do:
- Support new or improved designs for vehicle wiring harnesses by leveraging computer-assisted design technology.
- Assist the construction, modification, or testing of vehicles concerning electrical systems
- Establish and maintain a disciplined and data-driven internal quality system and coordinate with the Design and Quality team to integrate sound quality policies throughout the entire wire harness manufacturing process.
- Act as liaison between Automotive Manufacturer (OEM), Third Party Sequencing Warehouse, Tier 1's, FAMX (Fujikura Automotive Mexico), and Fujikura Automotive Europe in topics related to quality and development of wire harness manufacturing process.
- Oversee fault feedback and containment of defective parts for automotive parts manufacturing.
- Verify and release root cause analysis to the customer.
- Be accountable for leading containment, reworks, and projects to reduce rejections of wire harnesses at the customer.
- Coordinate SOP (Standard Operating Procedure), prototypes, and Tier 1 activities with team members.
- Analyze change notices and late changes to coordinate reworks.
- Provide continuous mentoring and coaching to the resident engineers.
- Establish and monitor production indicators.
- Resolve production challenges during development phases and SOP.
- Oversee quality complaint management and manage product continuous improvements related to quality and design.
- Manage the costs related to quality complaints.
- Manage costs related to implementation of immediate engineering changes with rework and spare parts to charge back the customer.
- Support business plan objectives to increase productivity, reduce waste, improve quality, and enhance safety, while leading, participating, and supporting cross-functional project teams as assigned to achieve required objectives on-time and on-budget.
- Administrate department budget.
- Maintain a good and fair work relationship with the customer.
- Participate in the maintenance of IATF (International Automotive Task Force) registration and any other quality system requirements and adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies.

Who you are:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Must have one (1) year of experience as a Quality Manager or Product Engineering Manager within the automotive industry.
- The one (1) year of experience must have included experience with change management, quality, QRD (Quality, Reliability, Durability) and modularity, and automotive processes; process-based auditing, root-cause analysis, problem-solving and process improvement techniques; and use of closed-loop quality systems and statistical analysis software in the automotive industry.
